After April's sensational Def Mix party with the one and only David Morales, CITY LOUD PROUDLY PRESENTS A NIGHT OF AFRICANISM on SATURDAY 15TH MAY featuring two very special Gallic guests - Bob Sinclar and DJ Gregory - pioneers of the African influenced sounds in House music. They're joined by City Loud's resident CJ Mackintosh in the main room whilst Bobby & Steve return to host their bi-monthly backroom party Zoo Groove Stereo with their guest Teddy Douglas from Basement Boys joining in the fun!!

But before we tell you about May's soiree, we must first say a huge thank you to everyone who made it down to City Loud to witness David Morales drop an incredible extended set.
So extended in fact, that you encouraged him to play until 6.30am - he was having so much fun!! Big shouts also to our beloved resident CJ Mackintosh, and ever-fabulous Lottie, plus debutant Aaron Ross (he's back in June), Tim Webster (hope you enjoyed your birthday) and soul-man Richard M who kept the back room jamming until 7.30am!

Saturday 15th May @ City Loud:
... City Loud presents a night of AFRICANISM...

“Africanism” is a unique sound championed by BOB SINCLAR and DJ GREGORY.
Heavily influenced by souk and African percussion, Africanism represents the innovative tastes and love of Afro Funk, Soul, Jazz, Latin and house music that both these flamboyant French DJs love to perform. After the incredible success of the first Africanism project (mixed by both Sinclar and Gregory), the new compilation has just hit the shops with mixes from Sinclar and new stablemate Martin Solveig. As head of the Africanism project, Sinclar is also the label owner of Yellow Production, plus he’s just about to release a new compilation / DVD called ‘Enjoy’.
Gregory meanwhile is one of Europe’s most respected DJ/Producers having produced worldwide hits ‘Tournament’ and ‘Block Party’ as featured on Africanism 1, plus of course the
massive summer smash of 2002, ‘Tropical Soundclash’…

And that’s exactly what you’re gonna get at May’s City Loud – a tropical soundclash of eclectic African beats spiced up with some good ol’ fashioned funk and soul courtesy of City Loud’s exclusive London resident, former DMC Champion and Pump Up The Volume hero –
CJ MACKINTOSH to bring the night home. Toronto-born BRAD 212 FINLAY is back for his
bi-monthly warm up, so get ready for some sexy minimal house laced with
dubby percussion to set the night on its way.

Like Brad, Soulful house legends BOBBY & STEVE also return for their bi-monthly residency to City Loud in May. The ex-Garage City twins will be back to host their intimate ZOO GROOVE STEREO party with very special guest TEDDY DOUGLAS (Basement Boys) jetting in from the
States to add jazz and gospel influenced house to the soulful mix.
SIMON MORGAN is this month’s warm up spinner out back.
