Its time for the second instalment of DALLAS
DISKO!!
On Friday 23rd July, 2004, we’re back at
the Lifthouse, in Farringdon London. On
the Ground level we will be bringing a little
piece of West London over to Clerkenwell.
With some of Notting Hills best eclectic
DJs Adrian & Miss Killah B from WIV & So
Hi Soho keeping things ultra funky, will
be blending up a mixture of Funk, Disko,
Electro and some forgotten gems!!. And the
surprise special guests are Marc Auerbach
& Tug (Basement Jaxx) Marc - former resident
of the infamous Renaissance and Up Yer Ronson
clubs, whose remix credits include - Stereo
Mcs, Sting, INXS,
Janet Jackson etc and now a firm fan of
playing the 'old school' tunes that he grew
up with!!
Tug - loves funk and grooves, currently
touring as the drummer for Basement Jaxx
as well as DJing for the Jaxx DJ shows -
say no more!!!
On the middle floor and you find the lounge
area, laid back and chilled, where you can
kick back, chat and take in the atmosphere.
On the top floor for some deep house grown
up shenanigans, where you can expect you
feet to do the talking! Catch resident Jay
Good dropping the finest boompty boompty
deep and groovy house monsters. Also theres
Paul C from This is Rhythm Recordings bringing
a fine mix of soulful platters. And leading
us into the night is Rich C & Kelvin Briscall
spinning some jackin funking numbers!
And an extra special guest for the night
Special Guest non other than Giles Smith
from FAITH/SECRET SUNDAZE brings his unmistakable
blend of dirty deep soulful tech / house.
Plus as always theres a free mix CD by resident
Jay Good.
All this for a ridiculously low door tax!!!!!!!
