Now into its 19th year, DMC and Technics, hosts
of the world’s most prestigious DJ Championship,
have now completed 3 months worth of heats in
6 major cities
and are getting ready for the UK Final.
Once again DMC will stage the DMC/Technics UK
Final at its spiritual home of the Shepherds Bush
Empire, where over 2,000 die hard fanatics will
meet armed with a personal opinion
to cast over the 8 competing finalists.
Meanwhile, hundreds of DJ hopefuls have practised
to perfect their skills, tightening
that crucial 6 minute routine in an attempt to
become a turntable legend like luminaries
such as Cash Money, Cutmaster Swift, Craze, A-trak,
Q-Bert and Roc Raida
to name just a few that came and conquered.
This year’s event also includes the Battle for
UK Supremacy. This fast paced competition
gives the contestants 90 seconds to prove themselves
as the UK’s best.
