The Dogstar is by the looks of it a old pub which is now a trendy bar that offers you special nights at weekends which are hosted by various promoters like Revitalise. If you are not driving like us as we do love our drink its really easy to get to, all you have to do is get out at Brixton tube station do a left and then your first left by the lights into Coldharbour lane and walk 2 minutes and the Dogstar is situated on the corner of the road.

We had choose to come down here on this night especially to hear TLUK as their were going to DJ by using Laptops, Yep that's right Laptops! I found out that they were coming on at about 12 so we had plenty of time to relax take in the atmosphere and listen to DJ ILO one of 3 DJ's of TLUK playing progressive house on decks, and he did not disappoint he played some really good tunes that the crowd enjoyed.

It was nice to see that the Dogstar crowd are a good mixture of people, that are into their music as a large crowd had turned up to check these guys out. Every one that I met in the bar was really laid back and easy to chat to and have no fear they is no dress code, which I prefer its basically up to you to come as you please which I think is a good policy.

So 12 O'clock come and there before my eyes were TLUK 3 DJ's 3 Laptops, 4 Hours, well it was amazing watching these guys sitting in front of their laptops playing music all done on a program called Fruity Loops.
While they were playing I had to make the point that maybe in some 10-15 years down the line are DJ's going to become distinct is this the future? Lucky the answer come quick DJ's on Decks are more sexy a girl said to me, maybe but these guys were good really good so at the end of the day if they can rock the Crowd good luck to them. Also I would like to make another point that in some clubs the DJ's are hidden so who really knows what's going on maybe some clubs have started using this program already who would know any different if you cannot see the DJ's.

I would like to finish of by saying the whole night was excellent, and will find my self heading down the Dogstar in the near future I really did enjoy the whole night and will have to keep checking the Dogstar web site as to see what else they have to offer, they are really to many special nights to mention so do keep checking their web site to keep informed.

Tluk is not just a music band; Furthering their sonic experiments they are working alongside Native Instruments programming Reacktor's Virtual Instruments.

Tluk are also working with IK multimedia creating sound and loop banks for IK's soft-synth, as well as developing their own VST instruments.
