Going
Places... Adventures in International House Music
returns to Turnmills
this Friday and following last month's South American
adventure with Clan-S
from Argentina, we will be inviting Glasse from
Poland to take his place behind the decks.
Glasse is widely recognised as Poland's leading
house DJ and resident at the Import! night at
Piekarnia in Warsaw. Over the last couple of years
some of the UK's finest DJs - think Lottie, Tom
Stephan, Meat Katie and Miguel Pellitero - have
all played at Import! and come back raving about
what a fantastic club Piekarnia is and how Glasse
is one of the best DJs they've heard in ages.
Here at Going Places we pride ourselves in bringing
over the very best in international talent and
so were immensely proud to welcome Glasse to the
party as he makes his full UK debut. We've already
heard a sneak preview of his lush and sexy percussive
house sound and, trust us, this guy is going to
blow your socks off. He'll also be bringing over
a few of his mates from Warsaw and rumour has
it these guys like to party hard - just the way
we like it!
Leading the charge will be our inimitable resident
Tania von Pear who is itching to get back behind
the Turnmills decks after rockin' Copenhagen and
St Petersburg with the Going Places vibe recently
and you can expect her trademark tough but funky
house sound with a smattering of breaks to be
in full effect. Rounding off the night as only
he can will be renegade master and all round London
legend Tom Real. Tom is part of the the infamous
Ignition DJs collective and resident at Bar Riot!,
so this man knows a thing or two about how to
make a party rock with his house, breaks and all
things dirty mash-up. Of course, those of you
who were at the At Night warehouse party a couple
of Saturdays ago will know first-hand just what
damage Tom and Tania can do to a dancefloor, so
more of the same is in store at Going Places.
There's going to be fireworks, that's for sure.
Getting things started will be a young DJ by the
name of Jon Barber, while the Gallery's main room
looks pretty tasty too with Seb Fontaine, James
Zabiela and John Askew joining Gavyn Mytchel and
Alter Ego. Over in the theatre and cabaret lounge,
meanwhile, Swizzle Shaker will be presenting their
1940s cocktail show.
All Movin' House people can also take advantage
of concessionary admission of £12 (normally £15)
and guest list queuing before 11:30pm, so come
down early and get stuck in! For details call
