On Wednesday 25th January Danny Howells takes to the decks at AKA to launch his fantastic new Choice compilation on Azuli. Following on from a series of fired up Azuli parties at the venue in 2005, the label returns to AKA with one of today’s hottest house music heroes, Danny Howells. This event will give fans the chance to hear an exclusive alternative set from Danny in the laidback surroundings of AKA. Azuli is the house music label set up by David Piccioni who over the years has been the man in charge of some epic collaborations and provided DJs with a chance to showcase their own music history. The Choice series on Azuli is one of the most exciting compilation concepts around, giving an insight into what has inspired some top DJs over the years and formed the foundations of who they are today. Danny’s new compilation has already been hailed as one of the best in the series featuring a number of his all time favourite records from a diverse range of artists including Carly Simon – ‘Why’, Iron Butterfly – ‘In a Gadda Da Vida’ and Orbital – ‘Imapct’.

On the night Danny will be launching his compilation with a special 6 hour set. Corresponding to the eclectic nature of the release Danny will be playing an inspired set, taking in all the genres which have influenced him over the years making the venue his own midweek musical playground. Danny’s Choice cuts will include everything from jazz to rock, to pop and grooves from all over the world mixed in his unique style…a combination of cutting edge grooves and crowd pleasing dynamics.
