Performances on the night will include Spit Kingdom: Killa Kela, DJ Skeletrik, MC Trip, Rookwood and Spider J as well as the Jungle Drummer and the DMC UK Champion of 2004 and 1Xtra Hip Hop DJ Blakey. Make sure you get your tickets and head down.

The World DJ Mixing Championship's 20th annual UK final nears as all 11 heats announce their winners. Founded in 1985 by Tony Prince, the championships have been the launch pad for many world famous DJs' careers. Mixmaster Mike (Beastie Boys), DJ Swamp (Beck), Lil' Jaz (Nelly Furtado), Scratch Perverts, Grand Master Roc Raida (X-Ecutioners), Q-Bert, Cash Money, DJ Rectangle, Bad Boy Bill, Carl Cox, Craze (3 time World Champion), DJ A-Trak (on tour with Kanye West) and DJ Skully (Kiss 100) are all DJs who have built from their DMC experience to create successful careers. For further proof of the DMC's influence you need look no further than last year's UK Champion DJ Blakey who since winning has become one of the most
in demand club DJs in Europe and hosts a Hip Hop mix show on BBC 1Xtra.

2003's UK Team Champions The Truesicians may have recently split, but two of the former members Dare Devil and DJ 2Tall won their heats to appear in the UK Final on July 29th at the Shepherds Bush Empire,
not to mention 2004's UK single champion DJ Blakey also being a member. Derby heat winner Switch is
sure to be a crowd favourite due to the fact that he's only 15!
