couple of weeks. On the international front, Jonty
Skrufff continues his overseas adventures with
a trip out to Germany on Friday to play at Hotel
Shanghai in Essen.
Forthcoming
Sedition DJs events include the next instalment
of Going Places at The Gallery this Friday and
it promises to be a great night with Rui Da Silva,
DJ Livio from Romania and Mike Monday joining
resident Tania von Pear. We’ll have a strong presence
at Turnmills the following weekend too including
PLAY with Mixmag at The Gallery on July 15th featuring
D. Ramirez, Deepgroove and James Mowbray, while
UP^^ will be bringing their brand of fiercely
funky house to City Loud when they co-host the
second room on July 16th with Richard Launch,
Jon Costa and Mark Bowler playing back-to-back
with Vandal. We’ll also be lending a hand at Plan
B in Brixton on Saturday, July 23rd for the launch
of mucky with Tim Sheridan,
while Tom Real and the Cheshire Catz will be hosting
a new Thursday night session at the Love Bar in
Shoreditch very soon – full details next week.

Anil Chawla also hosts the next instalment of
the Mongo Bongo Soundsystem on Ministry of Sound
Radio on Wednesday from 10-12pm featuring guest
mixes from Alex McCulloch of the Shafunkers and
Tim Davison, while Nico De Ceglia follows with
Into The Void and his eclectic electronic vision
from 12-2pm. Jonty Skrufff also presents his unique
brand of electro-disco-rock every Monday from
6-8pm.

It’s
the return of Going Places and this time around
we have something rather special lined-up.
Our international guest will be DJ Livio from
Romania making his UK debut and he’s already made
quite a name for himself playing alongside the
likes of John Digweed, Deep Dish, Nic Fanciulli
and Deep Dish at
La Maniain Bucharest where he holds a residency.
He’s also started to cut his teeth as a producer
with releases forthcoming on Steve Lawler’s Harlem
Records and Dave Seaman’s Audiotherapy label.
This guy is hot, trust us. Joining Livio will
be Portugal’s Rui Da Silva and the man behind
the
number one hit ‘Touch Me’ will be treating us
to a sneak preview of his latest productions
including ‘Pacman’,his dirty, electro-tinged new
single.
Joining the party will be Mike Monday and the
Playtime resident is on fire right now with his
jackin’ electro-house sound – if you don’t believe
us check out his new single, ‘What Day Is It’,
on the recently launched Playtime Recordings.
Keeping the boys in order, of course, will be
resident Tania von Pear who rocked Turnmills good
and proper through till 7:30am at the last Going
Places. Support comes from Chris Lambert and Jason
Feist, while it’s a real night for musical connoisseurs
over in the main room with New York legend Victor
Calderone joined by Hybrid, Lucien Foort, Oliver
Leighs and Tim Davison.
