The
master returns!! Paul
Oakenfold is back at The
Gallery for the first
time this year on Friday
1st October with an exclusive
London set. Paul rarely
plays in the UK these
days, due to his commitments
overseas (which include
amongst other things film
scores - he's already
scored Swordfish and Matrix
Reloaded!!) and we welcome
him back with open arms
to headline this stunning
main room billing that
also includes two of South
America's biggest exports
- Argentina's house head,
Hernan Cattaneo
and Brazilian techno don
Renato Cohen. Godskitchen
resident Jon O'Bir adds
his unique trance
style late on, with Marc
G warming things up nicely
early on!!
In the Fandango Room,
Nic Fanciulli returns
to dry land after last
month's venture down The
River Thames for his nights
1st Birthday… and boy
is he back, as he launches
the latest CD in the Mixmag
Live series! This is another
step in the right direction
for Nic and the mix follows
hot on the heels of his
Skylark remixes of Deep
Dish, DJ Pierre, Tears
For Fears, Paul Woolford
and most recently Joey
Negro's latest Akabu single,
which have been rocking
dancefloors all year.
Joining Nic this month
are some of the UK's most
exciting up-and-coming
DJs featuring a debut
set from Dave Mills &
Matt Joy (who take
a break from their Welsh
residency - Cool House),
City Sounds' Rob Cockerton
and Renaissance fave Sonny
Wharton, who hasn't looked
back since winning DJ
Mag's "Terraced House"
competition back in 2002
and completing a full
season as resident at
the infamous Manumission!!
Momento returns to
The Gallery on the warm
up front having really
impressed us on previous
occasions.

The
Gallery presents a “Rock
Da World” main room special
on Friday 8th October
featuring the night’s
residents – Daniele Davoli
& Tim Healey (aka Electrictease),
plus very special guests
Timo Maas and Dave Seaman.
Davoli & Healey’s Rock
Da World party has been
such a revelation in the
backroom this year that
we simply had to give
them a main room slot
to showcase their rock-meets-house
soundclash! German hero
Timo Maas beefs up the
party with his first Gallery
set for years and returns
to the UK fresh from a
great debut season out
in Ibiza at DC10. Dave
Seaman meanwhile increases
the tempo late on with
a another classic proggy-trance
tear up, before Gallery
resident Darren Christian
takes over at the night’s
epic finale. This week’s
warm up set comes from
Ciaran McCarthey,
resident spinner at Brighton’s
Honeyclub and definitely
one to watch out for in
the future!!
Over in Room 2 this week,
you’ll find Claudio Basile
and Nico De Ceglia taking
care of business as they
present new party Redshift.
Borrowing the term from
the world of astronomy,
Redshift represents an
expanding approach to
the electronic music spectrum.
Both Claudio and Nico
have been at the forefront
of London's Italian club
scene for several years
now. Claudio has spent
several years as resident
DJ for the infamous Sunday
night session Vertigo,
while Nico knows all there
is to know about the latest
trends in dance music
through his work as pre-selector
for Radio 1's Essential
Selection. They've
graced the decks at T2
several times before,
Claudio with his driving
fusion and deep dark melodies
and Nico supplying his
trademark blends of upfront
eclectic beats and sounds.
For the first installment
of Redshift, Soul Mekanik
will be special guests.
Kelvin Andrews will be
treating us to their unique
sound, blending acid house,
progressive beats, leftfield
electronica and whatever
else they fancy, forming
an irresistible dancefloor
groove. Expect to hear
tracks from their forthcoming
debut album on Rip Records.
Redshift with Soul Mekanik
- pushing the musical
envelope.

WOW,
what a night this promises
to be!! This Friday’s
Gallery all-nighter is
definitely a must for
lovers
of the harder side of
house & techno as Radio
1’s Fergie headlines alongside
the mighty German techno
don Marco Bailey. Fergie
has of course been stealing
the show at The Gallery
for years, since first
breaking onto the scene
as Tony De Vit’s DJ protégé
back in 2000, whilst Marco
Bailey made his UK debut
here at The Gallery in
March, before returning
in fine style in June.
Both are massive favourites
at the club, so it should
be an interesting pair
up? This week’s third
headliner is Italy’s DJ
of the Year and UK chart
topper Benny Benassi.
Benny plays exclusively
in London for The Gallery
– which we all love, cos
he plays such a cool mix
of electro-fused jackin-house,
that The Gallery faithful
religiously goes nuts
to!! Gallery star and
Kiss FM presenter John
Askew continues his monthly
residency with another
roaring set on the harder
side of trance, whilst
Owen Davies is this week’s
warm up master.
Over in Room 2, party
favourites Going Places
return to host more “Adventures
in International House
Music” as their worldwide
search for the DJs of
the future this month
takes them to Eastern
Europe
and special guest Anton
Neumark. This St Petersburg
based DJ/Producer runs
the successful Ataraxy
Recordings label and is
one of the top jocks from
Russia. He’ll be making
his UK debut as he joins
GP resident Tania von
Pear for a tribal workout
together with Sedition
DJ Graeme Lloyd who later
plays
live as the Disco Tourist.
Simon Hayward supplies
the deep house beats early
doors.

On
Friday 22nd October The
Gallery presents Soundworx’s
3rd Birthday with a devoted
two room special featuring
the Grammy Award Winning
DJ, Producer and Remixing
colossus that is Victor
Calderone.
This multi-talented master
of musical manipulation
has helped redefine the
role of the American DJ
in recent years, and,
in the process, has amassed
an impressive array of
artistic accomplishments.
Equally adept both in
the studio and in front
of live audiences, Victor
is a veritable virtuoso
who has inspired, enthralled
and entertained legions
of sonic savvy devotees
around the world. He started
DJing at house parties
in Brooklyn when he was
15, and is one of the
most successful DJs and
producers in America.
His musical CV includes
collaborations with artists
ranging from Joey Beltram
(Victor was a member of
the group Pogram 2 with
the legendary ‘Energy
Flash’ producer in the
early 90s) to Madonna
and Sting via Gloria Estefan,
Elton John, Destiny’s
Child and more. As well
as DJing worldwide and
arranging music for fashion
shows (he’s directed the
music for Dolce & Gabbana’s
Milan catwalk shows),
Victor also produces and
promotes what has become
one of New York’s biggest
club events… a yearly
5,000 capacity event held
at Hammerstein Ballroom.
The first, in 2001, was
called ‘Caligula:
A Roman Orgy’ and was
staged during Gay Pride
Week.
On top of that, Portuguese
superstar DJ Vibe aka
“The Magician” joins the
party with a very rare
London appearance, together
with top production maestro
John ‘Quivver’ Graham.
Supporting this lot in
the main room will be
Bruno Corecca and Simon
Dumone. Soundworx will
also be taking over Room
2 for their big night
and they’ve got more quality
international guests next
door including Spain’s
Dr Kucho and Portugal’s
Pete Tha Zouk. Also look
at out for a very special
live set from Get F**ked,
plus DJ sets from the
guys themselves - Nils
Hess & Nathan Coles. All
the action is overseen
by Soundworx resident
Kev ‘KGB’ Bird with support
from Meo Culpo. And finally
in Room 3, Naked Souls
will be hosting a funky
house session with Myles
Chalmers, Gregg Weatherall
& Guests!

The
Gallery completes the
month on Friday 29th October
with another Roadblock
session to kick off the
Halloween weekend. All
the big guns are in town
with Gallery super resident
Tall Paul leading the
way. Paul’s been busy
in the studio lately so
look out for another smash
to follow in the footsteps
of cult classics Camisra
and Rock Da House. Joof
Recordings head honcho
John 00 Fleming joins
Paul for some late night
progressive-trance, whilst
Corvin Dale aka the “Hungarian
Hammer” (yup – that’s
his Porn
star name!!) is back at
his favourite UK club
to drop some more Pornoground
inspired filthy, sleazy
house music! Gallery residents
and hot producers Darren
Christian & Gavyn Mytchel
play the late
slots on the tougher side
of trance, with Gary Collins
warming things up early
on.
Fellow Gallery resident
Steve Lee is also at the
club this week, but not
in his usual main room
slot…
but over in Room 2 for
his bi-monthly Balearic
bash – Joy. The night
has been one of The Gallery’s
biggest revelations this
year and it allows Steve
to play the music that’s
so close to his heart
(well he has been DJing
out in Ibiza for the past
13 years!!) This time
round Steve plumbs for
an
all girl affair, with
Pacha resident Sarah Main
returning to Turnmills
having made such an incredible
debut earlier this summer.
She’ll be joined by the
charming Clandestino resident
Miss Jools,
plus Steve hits the decks
too alongside Steve Chambers.
