On Saturday August 21st The Honeycomb opens their doors to a brand
new club night: 'Groove Fidelity'.

Brought to you from the team behind the highly successful Progression brand, Groove Fidelity launches its monthly residency at the honeycomb bang in the middle of the infamous
Edinburgh festival, promising a sophisticated sound of jammin chunked up house for an
intimate non prejudice underground party crowd.

The ethos behind 'Groove Fidelity' is quite simple; a music policy consisting of 'all things house'. Groove Fidelity offers a night guaranteed to tantalize your senses, showcasing
house music on a whole, bypassing sub-genres and tags, offering a night,
appealing to house music lovers throughout.

Providing the sound track to Groove Fidelity is the talented spinner, Gav Grant of Progression fame.
This guy has been making a serious name for himself throughout Scotland for the past few years,
a true lover of house music, Gav's unique sound is diverse yet upfront, really representing the
sound behind Groove Fidelity. Whilst in room2, the talented team of Barry Fell & Neil Bethune
shall be laying down a deeper vibe giving each room their own twist of diversity.

The launch night shall see Credence(now C2) label owners MYNC Project making a rare trip north
of the border showcasing their infamous 4 decks & 2 mixers performance alongside Edinburgh
legend Gareth Sommerville.

This new venture aims to provide a straight up consistent Saturday night hot spot for those eager
weekend House fanatics. Ass shaking grooves is the order of the day and this is one fired up
house party not to be missed!!

MYNC PROJECT 4 decks 2 mixers
and a whole heap of trouble!

Mync project is mark brown and nick corelli. the duo have been djing together; rocking dancefloors (and dressing in bikinis - more on that later) for the last four years with their own brand of quality house music; sampling everything from the soulful-tipped groovers to dirty, party-wise, jackin' tracks.

known for their standard 4 decks/2 mixer shows and innumerable effects units, they take djing beyond simply playing other people's music into the realms of musical creation and live performance,
twisting pre-recorded sounds into new and original dancing spells.

mync started djing at passion in coalville in 1999 and started their own night the redroom sessions in 2003, the night went from strength to strength, featuring the world's best house djs. guests included dj sneak, steve lawler, pete tong, derrick carter, x-press 2, jon carter, danny howells, yousef and lottie amongst many more. in 1999 erick morillo made his debut at redroom and soon invited them to make their first appearance at ministry of sound for his subliminal night.the guys mixed the passion album in 2000 which was released on virgin records. the boys finished their residency early 2004: "we left redroom (sessions)
as we felt we had taken it as far as we could go, the club owners wanted to take the night in another direction and we didn't agree, so decided to part company. we are going to launch mync sessions in september, in a midlands location and carry on where we left off, bringing the worlds
best djs to party central".

Danny Rampling was the first to pick up on their style when he played at redroom in 99' -
inviting them to do a mix on his love groove dance party show on radio 1.

On the production tip, mync remixed one of credence's biggest 12s - loverush's "same ol' thing" in 2001, james holden's "nothing" in 2003 (on loaded) and forthcoming have remixed danny howell's "dusk till dawn" for the track's c2 release in august. they have also, more recently, been in the studio working on their own productions. "the session" is the first set to be released "it's a dirty club track - one for our dj sets,
full of energy and groove!" out on c2 in august with a remix coming in from new blood danny s.

Outside of djing and producing both are heavy hands within the music industry. until it's recent closure, mark was a&r for credence records (started in 2000) and was responsible for signing releases from some of the world's top producers - including dirty vegas, part-t-one, sneak, alan braxe, green velvet, skylark (nic fanciulli), lee-cabrera, rune rk, eric prydz and more. he signed only the best in house music and knocked-up over 25 top 40 uk singles - in a time when most house records are lucky to get into the top 100. he has since started new label c2 records - bringing with him and signing artists such as lee-cabrera,
danny howells, eric prydz and steve angelo and more.

Nick runs variation records alongside ex. rhythm master steve mac. variation began in november 2003, the first release being drum bums "circus parade" - a collaboration between yousef and steve mac. the second release came from the show with a huge dirty club track called "the party". with more to come from rune rk, steve mac himself and a collaboration between mac and pete tong - lingua franca "the calling".

They have also hit up the radio waves with appearances on various shows and stations including a radio 1 essential mix in july 2002, a live mix from creamfields (radio 1 stage) on seb fontaine's show and a live set from ibiza on pete tong's show last summer. guesting on ali b's show on capital as well as presenting their own shows on various midlands based stations. not content with just radio presenting, the boys headed a tv show called 'the zone' in 2001 which saw them covering clubbing globally, from miami to london and interviewing the likes of paul oakenfold, mousse t, erick morillo and seb fontaine.

And what else?
Mync mixed credence club hits in 2003 which was released worldwide through emi and dj mag's 'credence special' covermount cd back in 2001. they debuted at number 86 in dj mag's top 100 djs list in 2000. last autumn mync started their new monthly residency at seb fontaine's night at the cross in london. m8 voted them as one of their 'future heroes for 2002'. they've djd all over the world in locations such as zouk in singapore, subliminal sessions in nyc, gigs in las vegas, atlanta, miami, kuala lumpur, italy, all over the uk, ibiza on the space terrace, amnesia terrace and for ministry at pacha as well as a fortnightly residency at coastline. they've djed at kylie minogue's album launch party and the kill bill 2 afterparty, djd at the (what was) prestigious muzik awards and… they've run around ibiza dressed in bikinis after a particularly 'fun' session at their cream @ amnesia ibiza residency last summer. this year the boys are set to return to the cream terrace for a further 6-date residency… and more bikinis?? (not a pretty sight…)
