TWISTED
LOVE @ NEIGHBOURHOOD
Bored of going to the same
clubs, listening to the same music week in week
out? Crave that something extra from your night
out?
If the answer is ‘yes’, then Twisted Love is the
night you’ve been waiting for!
Twisted Love is a simple concept.
MOCKY – LIVE - (ON STAGE
AT 9PM)
Loose Cannons DJ set
Funkt-if-ino Allstars.
Supported by Addict
West London’s coolest, most respected venue plays
host to some of the globes most respected DJ’s,
renowned for their musical talent playing music
from all genres, all night. One record could
be house, the next disco, the next funk, the next
rare groove, the next Hip Hop.
Quite simply, it’s something for everyone!
Since launching in January this year, Twisted
Love has attracted talent all at the cutting edge
of their profession. Guests have included Norman
Jay MBE, Yoda & Mixologists. Every event has reached
capacity rocking way after closing time with an
electric atmosphere to match.
Twisted Love has since gone on to be described
as the venues wildest party!
If you haven’t yet experienced the Twisted Love
phenomenon that everyone in London is talking
about – April 30th should be a definite date in
your diary as we introduce art-singer-cult-hero-gimmick-rapper-artiste:
MOCKY
Mocky is the only part of the Peaches / Gonzales
family not to have received widespread acclaim
– However, last year’s surprise underground hit
“Sweet Music” set off a bidding war over Mocky.
With lots of radio plays and massive press feedback
he has reached an underground cult status. Mocky
is unique in the fact that he has his own sound,
the forthcoming album is Pop with a capital P,
fusing Mocky’s abstract lyrics with twisted R
n B. Imagine The Neptunes being molested by Aphex
Twin - no bad comparison. His live show combines
rapping and MC-ing with cabaret and puppeteering
and has to be seen to be believed.
This is Mocky’s only live appearance with full
live band before his appearance
on the Radio 1 stage @ Glastonbury – don’t miss
out.
‘Mocky has to be seen to be believed. A true talent
for 2004’ Vice Magazine
"Mocky: mickey taker par excellence, guitar or
no guitar." - Jockeyslut
"An impressive calling card" - Music
Week
"No. 1 in the DMC ZZUB chart" -
DMC Update
"Mocky is this ultra talented rapper and producer
whom NME first met in late '99.......he's very
much on top of his game and headed for international
glory in th eh four!" - NME
